These are "needles in use" from Carol Dean Sharpe aka "Sandfibers"

Let us read her comment:

The top one has been in use for about a week; the middle for a month or so; the bottom...who knows?... it's what I use for my peyote tubes. Since most of what I do is straight out FLAT peyote, I have little excuse for bent needles ;o"

Most she does is FLAT Peyote?

Hmmmm I guess this is not enough to describe this busy bee of the www-beading-scene ;-)

Characteristics of her work are straight lined patterns, perfection in use and mixture of one- two- or three-drop Peyote (I must confess I am a collector of her patterns, cause my curves would never be as curvy as hers ;-) ), a mixture of different materials in her fiber-work, ......

.... all garnished with a great sense of humor.....

.... support for other artists with her collaboration-pieces....

... the famous "Bargello-Hearts" ....

...and last but not least her beloved "hugs and kisses".

Besides all the beadwork she does, I must say, that I didn't meet another person in the www, that is so helpful and giving like CD!

So I can forgive her, big-hearted as I am, that she's bending her needles while making flat Peyote ;-))

Clasps /Verschlüsse

Manche Verschlüsse sind so schön, da kann man sich mit der Perlenarbeit gepflegt zurückhalten!

Ich habe diesen Verschluss auf einer Ausstellung von Claspgarten gefunden.

Some clasps are so beautiful that you can keep the beadwork small.

I found this one in an exhibition from Claspgarten.

Beading needle collection - Peter Sewell

These two needles are from Peter Sewell.

He wrote:

"The two are size 13 John James after making 'Maryshka', (...) all with Fireline and I tension very hard."

These needles had a hard job to do, see the pictures of Maryshka below! Only two size 13 needles, Fireline and the entire piece.... respect Mr. Sewell! ;-)

The "Beading needle collection".

These first two needles are from Eva Maria Keiser.

She wrote:

"I started out the new year [Jan 2010] with two each of size

10, 12, and 13 John James needles. I bead at least 8 hours each day and am still using these needles."

So this is what I call accuracy! None of my needles would survive that long!

And Evas projects are anything else but easy tasks for beadingneedles ;-)

Eva Maria Keiser is doing Peyote in the third dimension.
